City on a Hill White 2021

City on a Hill White 2021 by Swartland-based Andre Bruyns is a blend 45% Chenin Blanc, 16% Palomino, 13% Colombar, 7% Grenache Blanc, 7% Verdelho, 7% Viognier and 2% Muscat d’ Alexandrie. Rich, viscous and complex mid-palate cradled by integrated freshness. Spiral strands of flavour and texture wrap around the palate; the components have melded seamlessly with time. Melon, peach, spice, fynbos.

Fruit is sourced from across the Swartland. In the cellar he takes a minimalist approach – natural fermentation in concrete and older oak with only a coarse filtration and small amount of sulphur before bottling.
