Vriesenhof GSM 2016 is 50% grenache with 34% shiraz and 16% mourvedre from Stellenbosch matured for 12 months in 2nd fill French oak. Rich aromas of strawberries and blue berries with a deeper dark fruit component on the mid-palate, with cherries and white pepper on the finish.

DA Hanekom Putfontein Pinotage 2016 by Andri Hanekom (Bloemendal) . Fermented in open-top fermenters then aged for 19 months in French oak. The wine has an intense colour with aromas of plum, dark chocolate and spice. A hearty wine with dark berry flavours and a long finish. No wallflower!

Dunstone Stones in the Sun Shiraz 2015 –  a super value red showing soft and round plummy fruit backed by spice. The wine spent 12 months in older 500l barrels.

Boplaas Touriga Nacional 2015  – fermented in open top cement ferementers with manual punch-downs to gently coax optimum flavour and colour extraction from the grape skins while maintaining the bold aromatics. The wine is barrel matured in 3rd & 4th-fill French oak barrels for 10 months prior to bottling with a light filtration. Accessible, medium bodied wine with ripe black plum, kirsch, vibrant five spice, fynbos & notes of coco nib and charcuterie on the palate. The tannins are firm with a fresh, more-ish finish. Can be served slightly chilled

Rainbow’s End Mystical Corner 2016 – this family farm in the Banghoek Valley is known for it’s reds, particularly Cabernet Franc. This is a med-full blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Petit Verdot and Malbec. Plenty of red berry and spice with hints of cedar and woodsmoke. Soft tannins.

Vriesenhof unwooded Chardonnay 2017  is a light, playful wine. 6 months lees contact creates a rounded, soft mouthfeel. Sleek and balanced and sure to be a hit.

Waterlily Sauvignon Blanc 2017 by Bloemendal wines – delicious! This really is such a pleasing wine with a refreshing, light and soft feel. No overblown tropical or green notes, rather more hints of citrus blossom/lime.

Amatra Chenin Blanc 2016 by Catherine Marshall from fruit sourced from Elgin and Stellenbosch. White peach, nectarine and golden delicious apple. This wine has such an appealing character and a delicious grippy texture.

Zeven Sauvignon Blanc 2017 – super value (as is the rose made from Cabernet Franc grapes). Fermented in s/steel with lees contact for 4 months (stirred weekly). This makes it more than ‘just another sauv blanc’.

Glenwood Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon 2017 (unwooded) – Although DP at Glenwood is well-known for his chardonnays, the semillon he produces is pretty darn tasty too. This is a lighter, more accessible take on the ‘Bordeaux’ white. Sauvignon blanc delivers elegant passion fruit freshness which is laced together by the richness and weight of the Semillon grape.

Fairview Rose Quartz 2017 is a pale and dry rose from Grenache, Carignan and Cinsaut. Subtle red berry and pomegranite flavours with a soft, lingering finish.
