Avondale Samsara 2009 – 100% Shiraz from organic vineyards aged 10-17 years. Pepper, violets, vibrant red berries and orange peel on the nose. Samsara is full and well-integrated with hints of plum and cherry, cloves, cinnamon and pepper. This wine is spectacular well-balanced and carries an exceptional fruit-driven palate.

Malanot Triton Syrah 2014 by Marius Malan – Bold and full-bodied wine just perfect with oxtail or game stew.

MAN  Vintners Ou Kalant Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 – so smooth and tasty, this is a winner at the price. Sumptuous black fruit and soft tannins make for a crowd-pleaser.

Vondeling Merlot 2017 – Whole berry fermentation helps retain the soft, vibrant fruit. Definitely one to keep stock of and set some aside for 3 years if you can.

Stellenrust Simplicity 2016 – a sleek and balanced blend of Stellenbosch Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Super value!

Arra Cape Blend 2011 – a dark, brooding blend of Pinotage, Petit Verdot and Merlot. Berries, dark chocolate and freshly picked cherries.

Avondale Armilla MCC 2010 – from organic Chardonnay with 7 years on the lees, this is a delicious addition to any bubbly occasion. Rich and round on the palate; a perfect balance of toasty, warm hazelnut bread, fresh quince and green apple.

Driehoek Sauvignon Blanc 2016 by Dawid Nieuwoudt (Cederberg) An aromatic Sauvignon Blanc showing lemon grass and passion fruit aromas with a hint of gooseberry. Worth keeping for another year.

Malanot Chardonnay 2016 by Marius Malan once again just missed out on 5*Platter, making it 4.5* twice in a row. Perfectly balanced, it was whole bunch pressed, barrel fermented and only lightly filtered before bottling. Really delicious with subtle oak influence.

Southhill Shiraz 2016 – a cool-climate Elgin shiraz showing plenty of pepper & spice with vibrant fruit and fresh acidity.

Wildehurst Velo Rouge 2013 – a medium-bodied blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Viognier. Natural fermentation in old 300l barrels and then blended, this is such a pleasurable wine.

Peacock Merlot 2016 by Waterkloof is a medium-bodied wine with a sleek, satin-like feel. Red plum and spice with a fine tannin structure

White 6-pack at R604.00 containing:

Avondale Anima Chenin Blanc 2015 from organic vineyards aged 8-34 years. 15 – 20% of the grapes were whole bunch fermented in amphora which adds unique body and length to the wine. After fermentation the wine was kept on the lees for 12 months with regular batonage. Winter melon, pineapple, lime and a hint of honey with a rich core and long finish. Delish!!

Compagniesdrift unwooded Chardonnay 2015 made by Chris Williams at Meerlust. Wines were launched in May 2015 by farm workers with ties to leading Stellenbosch wine properties Meerlust, Vriesenhof and Ken Forrester. Lovely lifted aromas of lemon, yellow apple and white peach. The palate shows vibrant fruit with a mouthfilling creaminess and persistant fresh citrus finish.

MAN Vintners Warrelwind Sauvignon Blanc 2017 is a crisp and refreshing wine with a balanced, sleek feel to it.

Stonedance Chenin Blanc 2017 – fruit is sourced from Fairtrade-certified vineyards in the Swartland. Distinctive fresh tropical aromas of pineapple, peach and lime with a refreshing clean crisp acidity and a long, mouth-watering finish.

First Sighting Sauvignon Blanc 2017 by Strandveld Vineyards near Elim (Cape Agulhas). A rich citrus core with hints of lemongrass & sea spray.

Waverley Hills Pinot Grigio 2017 is an organic wine. Crisp and refreshing and perfect with grilled calamari.
