Julien Schaal Syrah 2016 – elegant and restrained, it has wonderful red fruit and cracked pepper. Whole bunch fermentation followed by ageing in 300l barrels
Copper Pot Pinot Noir 2016 (Thorne & Daughters) by John Secombe – a wine for long tables, good food, friends and family. Serve slightly chilled.
Elemental Bob Retro Series Cinsaut 80%/Pinot Noir 20% 2016 by Craig Sheard. Another super chillable red. Crunchy red fruit and great freshness coming in at 12% alc
Eenzaamheid Cinsaut 2016 by Janno Briers-Louw shows red cherry fruit, hints of earth and spice. 12.5% alc. Serve slightly chilled. Great with your summer braai or burger.
Hell Yeah Syrah 2017 (Blacksmith Wines) by Tremayne Smith is possibly the lightest Paarl shiraz I’ve ever come across. Although accessible now, laying it down for at least another year is a good idea.
Vino Baruzzo Novello Merlot 2017 (Mooiplaas). Oh-so smashable! A super summer red with all the succulent black fruit of a merlot. Whole bunches fermented in tank and lightly pressed. 10.5% alc

WHITE 6 @ R693.00 containing:
Lammershoek Innocent White 2015 – a soft and rounded blend of Chenin from 44 year-old dryland bush vines, Viognier, Chardonnay, Harslevelu & Sauvignon Blanc
Circumstance Sauvignon Blanc 2016 by Waterkloof is from organic fruit vinified with minimal intervention. Sleek and classy with hints of grapefruit and pear.
Blackwater Riesling 2016 from Elgin fruit by Francois Haasbroek. Well-balanced acidity supports white fruit with hints of lime. Some lees contact adds weight to the mid-palate
Olifantsberg Blanc 2015 from Grenache Blanc, Chardonnay and Roussanne. Whole bunch pressed, spontaneous fermentation. Blend matured on lees for 10 months. Complex and layered showing peach, apricot, some citrus and delicate floral notes
Migliarina Chardonnay 2015 by Carsten Migliarina from Elgin fruit. Lightly oaked, it’s a sleek and refined wine.
Jikken Bareru Chenin Blanc 2017 by The Fledge & Co from Swartland and Stellenbosch fruit (50/50) Intensely aromatic and a wonderful, rich palate considering the 12% alc.

PINK 6 @ R505.00 containing:
Piekenierskloof Grenache Rose 2017. Sourced from vineyards planted in 1968. 50% fermented in new 300l oak barrels. Delicate fruit and a gentle, refreshing feel.

14% Grenache Gris, 14% Syrah. Spontaneous fermentation in 500l oak barrels and concrete eggs. Matured for 6 months. Your fridge will be lonely without this one.
Lynx Blanc de Noir 2017 from 100% merlot, it’s sleek and light with hints of raspberry
Vrede en Lust Jess Rose 2017 from Pinotage and Shiraz, it shows hints of strawberry, raspberry and watermelon.
After at least 5 years of threatening, it seems the rose trend is slowly starting to take hold with local wine consumers.
