The featured producer this July is Lomond

Founded in 2004, Lomond Wine Estate was established in a pristine natural environment near Elim at the southern tip of Africa. The farm is over 800 hectares, with 350 hectares of that under vine cultivation. Because Lomond is also part of the Walker Bay Fynbos Conservancy, the rest of the farm is preserved for native fynbos. Four Sauvignon Blancs are produced from the grapes, two of them single-vineyard wines and two blends in which the Sauvignon Blanc dominates. The white wines are balanced by four reds, two of them highly-rated wines made from Shiraz, a cultivar which does extremely well on the farm.

Featured wines:

Pincushion Sauvignon Blanc (single vineyard)

SSV White (Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Viognier)

SMV Red (Shiraz, Mourvedre, Viognier)

PLEASE JOIN THE WINEMAKER ON FRIDAY 6 JULY from 4-7pm. He’ll be pouring these wines for tasting.
