Rascallion wines is our featured producer for February.

The brand is a partnership between Ross Sleet and the Kretzmar family. “Sounds, sight, touch, smell, and taste physically link us to the world around us. How we articulate these senses and link them via our emotional needs and wants defines who we are. Rascallion creates wines that explore these links and engage one’s senses – change the conversation and #TalkRascallion”

We’re featuring these 4 wines:

Aquiver: a blend of Chenin Blanc, Grenache Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc. The grenache portion was fermented in barrel. Succulent white fruit mid-palate with sleek, fresh finish.

Pandiculation: a blend of Shiraz and Grenache. The grenache portion is unoaked. The shiraz was matured for 18 months in French oak. Soft tannins with a hint of freshness make for a more-ish wine. Juicy plums and blackberries backed  by lavender, spice and earth

33 1/3 rpm: a blend of Chenin Blanc 40%, Roussanne 40%, Grenache Blanc 10%, Viognier 8%, Verdelho 2%. Vibrant and fresh unwooded white.

45 rpm: a blend of Grenache Noir 36%, Cinsaut 32%, Mourverdre 26%, Tannat 6%. Fermentation took place on the skins in stainless steel tanks for 10 days with pump overs 3 times a day. Soft and supple feel with blackberries, plums, cloves and aniseed.
